I am writing in reference to an item my husband gave me for our anniversary. He purchased the "couple's birthstone ring" with our birthstones (sapphire and aquamarine). I was extremely excited to receive it, as the picture on the website looked beautiful. That picture was a gross misrepresentation. The ring we received had a "sapphire" that was BLACK and an "aquamarine" that was clear. The ring itself was hollowed out so as to use as LITTLE metal as possible. It arrived 2 days later than promised and when we called to check on it, we were told that it had never been submitted to be made let alone shipped. Then it arrived two days later. To add insult to injury, it was non-returnable because of the engraving. This is unfortunate, as the ring looked like something from a gumball machine. It was not properly represented. As it stands now, not only will we never purchase from Red Envelope again, but we will make it a point to tell everyone we know to avoid them. Overall Rating

Couldn't tell by the shipping calendar exactly what was needed, so I picked the "cheapest"--$4.99. After checking out I find it was an additional shipping charge that I did not need to use, since I just need item by Christmas. Then the "free shipping" is totally misleading. You have to join a rewards program to get the $15.00 on your next order--I don't think so. Totally a misleading experience! Very disappointing! Overall Rating

I did NOT like the popups that wanted me to enroll in a club type of thing to get $15 back on my shipping. I really feel this is a scam and was annoying! The unwanted scamming will certainly help me decide if I ever want to order from this merchant again. Overall Rating

First time I tried to place the order I was given a 15% discount; then I got kicked out of the site before the order went through. I had to go through the whole process again; then I was only given a 10% discount. I would have just given up on the whole thing, but I wanted to finish my shopping and be done with it. I received an email promotion for free shipping and 10% off the purchase. In order to obtain the free shipping I was redirected to another website which required a membership, and the entry of a credit card (I paid for my purchase with paypal). The Free Standard Shipping cost was removed from the invoice and then added back in. Ridiculous and time-consuming and misleading advertising. I was charged for the shipping. I like the products at Red Envelope however, the shipping charge was supposed to be $9 for the day I chose instead it was $12.99. Shipping is ridiculous through Red Envelope. If I were in the US I would shop at a store instead of online. Overall Rating

This is one of those scam merchants. They promise you free shipping after you have checked out, then they only offer it to you if you buy into their rewards program for so many dollars a month. I gave them a chance and was very disappointed. Overall Rating

I was disappointed at the two attempts to get me to sign up for additional charges, under the guise of getting 'fee shipping' or some other scam. I had to go out of my way to find out that I would be committing myself to an ongoing obligation, and you never made that clear enough for me to think it was inadvertent. Shame on you. Overall Rating

The web sight has a 15% off at checkout all over it and yet at checkout nothing changed, no discount was given. The qualifying amount was 249 and the item I purchased was 299. There was no promotion code to type in so, I do not know how to get the 15% discount. Overall Rating

I believe the shipping options and prices are quite confusing. For example, I had no idea I would be charged a Standard Express Delivery fee of 9.99 PLUS a Rush Delivery fee of 4.99 as this is not apparent when you choose your delivery date. Why should I get charged 4.99 to have the merchandise delivered by this Friday 2/20? Is it not more beneficial for Red Envelope to get the merchandise off their inventory counts and out of the warehouse as soon as possible? And really, to the consumer, what is the difference between STANDARD EXPRESS DELIVERY and RUSH DELIVERY? Sounds the same to me. Basically, this order is a gift and I am totally disappointed with the shipping. As a result, I will probably use the Red Envelope website to get gift ideas only - and actually spend my money elsewhere. Overall Rating

Apparently I got stiffed for my $15.00 coupon from my previous order DGOLDA0KXF6L. Goodbye... I was able to get my coupon honored only by a phone call. My email was ignored. This form does not reflect my situation and is a waste of my time. Perhaps you could add a column for N/A? The order just now shipped so asking me how many days it took to get it can't be answered and this order was a gift sent to a different address than my own. I did get informed that my order had been picked up for delivery. I would appreciate it if you took me off your mailing list. My opinion of "price grabber" could not possibly be any worse now that I have experienced it. Red Envelope would do well to dump your service's blank form of one fits all is pretty useless.
