Strengths: Small, easy to use
Weaknesses: Trouble installing bottom panel;
A bit too sensitive to leveling
Summary: 2007-03-12 11:29:31 We received this about two weeks ago. My wife has been using it ever since and loves it.
The bottom panel needs to be put on by the consumer. However the manual doesn't say anything about which way it goes. I have to call Haier about it. The concave of the panel should go upwards, i.e., it is inside the washer. It comes with a faucet adapter which works both in our kitchen and bthroom. The drain hose could be routed along either side of the washer, just to provide some flexability. Inside there is a removable lint catcher which is very neat.
You can program the washer to do "quick wash", "Power wash", or just "wash". You could add more rinse or spin cycles by themselves easily. The washer is very gentle, yet has enough power to handle everyday needs. Tough stain must be pretreated, otherwise the washer won't get it off.
Pleast note that this thing is very sensitive to leveling. According to the manual, if it is off by 2 degree, the washer wont' work. Indeed we spent quite sometime finding the sweet spot. Remember to use the adjustable leg in this situation.
Overall this washer has all the basic funtions and is a convenient choice.
Edit about the bottom panel:
I think the Haier rep gave me some wrong information. After installing the bottom panel according to what she said, huge noise can be heard when use the washer. Inspection shows the axis of the motor touches the concave that goes upwards. We reinstalled it the other way around and the noise is gone.
